چکیده

Abstr , ,ct . The Stacketberg strategy in t~onzero-sum games is a reasonable solution concept for games where, either due to lack of information on the part of one player about the performance function of the other, or due to different speeds in computing the strategies, or due to differences in size or strength, one player dominates the entire game by imposing a solution which is favorable to himself. Thi~ paper discusses some properties of this solution concept when the players use controls that are functions of the state variables of the game in addition to time. The ditNculties in determining such controls are also pointed out. A simple two-stage finite state discrete game is used to illustrate these properties.

Vehicle Routing Problem in Competitive Environment: Two-Person Nonzero Sum Game Approach

Vehicle routing problem is one of the most important issues in transportation. Among VRP problems, the competitive VRP is more important because there is a tough competition between distributors and retailers. In this study we introduced new method for VRP in competitive environment. In these methods Two-Person Nonzero Sum games are defined to choose equilibrium solution. Therefore, revenue giv...

An approach to discrete-time incentive feedback Stackelberg games

A substantial effort has been devoted to various incentive Stackelberg solution concepts. Most of these concepts work well in the sense that the leader can get his desired solution in the end. Yet, most incentive strategies developed thus far include either the follower’s control, which may not be realistic in practice, or delays in the state, which makes stabilization more difficult to achieve...

Distribution Design of Two Rival Decenteralized Supply Chains: a Two-person Nonzero Sum Game Theory Approach

We consider competition between two decentralized supply chains network under demand uncertainty. Each chain consists of one risk-averse manufacturer and a group of risk-averse retailers. These two chains present substitutable products to the geographical dispensed markets. The markets’ demands are contingent upon prices, service levels, and advertising efforts of two supply chains. We formulat...

Computation of the Closed-loop Stackelberg Solution Using the Genetic Algorithm

This paper deals with the computation of the closed-loop dynamic Stackelberg equilibrium solution in two-player nonzero-sum dynamic games using the genetic algorithm. When the leader has access to closed-loop state information, which provides him (indirectly) with on-line information on the past actions of the follower, derivation of the Stackelberg solution is known to be a challenging one. We...

Team-optimal closed-loop Stackelberg strategies in hierarchical control problems

This paper is concerned with the derivation of closed-loop Stackelberg (CLS) solutions of a class of continuous-time two-player nonzero-sum differential games characterized by linear state dynamics and quadratic cost functionals. Explicit conditions are obtained for both the finite and infinite horizon problems under which the CLS solution is a representation of the optimal feedback solution of...
